The HIV Policy Research Centers, a project of the California HIV/AIDS Research Program (CHRP) with funding from the Office of the President of the University of California, convened HIV and health care leadership in Sacramento on March 14, 2017 to discuss and strategize around changes in healthcare funding, programs and policies now under consideration in Washington, DC. The roundtable focused on the current landscape in Washington, DC and Sacramento, HIV and health care initiatives that could be impacted, such as Medi-Cal, California’s health care exchange and the Ryan White Program, and how California can maintain current levels of care and prevention services for people living with and at risk of HIV. The HIV Policy Research Centers will disseminate a summary of the discussion and any decisions made during the meeting, and will use information gathered from the meeting dialogue to generate targeted research topics for 2017. If you have any questions, please contact Katja Nelson, Local Affairs Specialist at APLA Health, at knelson@apla.org. Thank you, and we hope to see you in March.
